Concealed Online Reviews - How To Run and Gun While Carrying Concealed

Carrying Concealed While Doing Your Daily Jog

We at support a healthy lifestyle… but running with a loaded firearm can be bad for your health!
All that bouncing around can be a big problem for most holsters.
Securing your gun is something most traditional holsters offer. But a standard holster doesn’t provide proper trigger protection if you run with a gun.
Accidents WILL happen when there’s a whole lotta shakin’ goin’ on!
Whether at the gym or at your local park, here are a few “Don’ts” for carrying concealed when excessive movement is in the mix:

Don’t Cock Your Gun

Stating the obvious, right? Well, yeah — but you’d be surprised how many joggers do just the opposite.
Better to keep the safety on your handgun even when the holster has some form of trigger guard which could accidentally set off the weapon with excessive vibration.

Don’t Wear A Short Jacket

Longer jackets suck for running but offer the ability to position the weapon further from your body.
OWB holsters work great with sweatshirts or hoodies and are perfect for keeping the concealed gun away from your body while running.

Don’t Carry A Big Gun

Big guns do not conceal well.  Compact firearms are easier to hide while maintaining an athletic lifestyle.
For instance… this might be a little too conspicuous…

Don’t Use An Ankle Holster

The cons outweigh the pros of an ankle holster… literally.
All that extra weight on your legs is bad for your knees, plus the fact that most of the shaking starts in your legs will definitely shake loose your gun.
Better to go with any form of shoulder, tank top or waistband holster. They work wonders at keeping the gun away from your body, hiding the weapon, and causing as little discomfort as possible.

Don’t Underestimate the Bad Guy

Bad stuff happens to good people anytime, anywhere. Better to be prepared than to let your guard down when you’re out doing your daily exercise regimen.

There are Just Two Essential Sorts of Guns Preparing: Episodic or Immersion Preparing.

Choosing which preparing style will work best for you and your objectives is the initial step you should take before applying for a covered convey allow. Amid the many state application forms, you'll have to talk about your preparation, reasoning, and the approach you'll take to sharpen your shooting abilities.

You can pick either sort, however we needed to solicit: Does one style from preparing produce better shooters?

Would you be able to Learn On Your Own? Wordy Concealed Carry Training Explained

Roundabout preparing is regularly self-coordinated.

You'll gain from preparing recordings, content, web based shooting courses, or even online hid convey classes. At that point, once you're on the range, you'll apply what you've realized while shooting.

In the event that you can subjectively screen your shape and basically judge your execution, long winded preparing might be for you.

Lamentably, it's frequently hard to break down your own execution.

One of the traps you fall into on the off chance that you choose verbose preparing without teacher supervision is neglecting to learn new data or neglecting to strengthen essential things.

traning hand firearm

When you learn and shoot without anyone else, it's anything but difficult to "fall into a trench," level, and create hard to conquer unfortunate propensities. This is the motivation behind why numerous shooters and teachers trust inundation preparing is significantly more viable.

Improves Shooters?

Inundation preparing has numerous advantages over self-coordinated or even teacher based wordy shooting.

Regularly, submersion preparing happens over a whole day or various days and you'll work forcefully on your abilities under the supervision of a teacher who nearly watches your method and frame.

Submersion preparing shields you from falling into negative behavior patterns, compels you to always concentrate on legitimate frame, and pushes you to advance quicker.

Quick advance under the vigilant gaze of a confirmed teacher is one reason many states require covered convey courses before you can even document an application.

In Just 12 Hours You Can Rapidly Progress as a Shooter…

In any case, here's the enormous issue with inundation preparing…

When you heap the greater part of your preparation into a solitary day or a short 2-3 day traverse, you're significantly more prone to overlook all that you've learned.

Drenching preparing is awesome for adapting new bores, systems, and focusing on essentials, yet a standout amongst the most vital standards of training for any ability is that short, more continuous sessions are significantly more viable than long sessions spread father separated.

All in all, What Type of Training is Better for Concealed Carry?

As far as I can tell, you ought to dependably begin with proficient direction before proceeding onward to shooting alone.

Normally this implies starting with an educator at a one day or multi-day session before proceeding onward to hone individually a few times each week. After a time of self-guided wordy practice to fortify what you've realized, you backpedal to an immersive session.

In any case, Immersion Training is Expensive and Time Consuming, Is There a Better Way?

To maintain a strategic distance from the cost of immersive in-person preparing, you can discover NRA-guaranteed online hid convey courses perceived by various states to meet the necessities to apply for a CCW.

A few online covered convey classrooms enable you to get immediate criticism from teachers. You can really transfer shooting sessions and get direction on what you're doing well and off-base.

edited hid online.jpg

This cutting edge go up against customary preparing can be similarly as powerful as in-person hid convey preparing.

In the event that you don't have time for 12 hour for each day submersion shooting sessions, you might need to consider working with affirmed shooting mentors and educators on the web.

Concealed Online Review - Which Caliber is best for Defensive Shooting?

The caliber best suited to defensive shooting is an argument that is fought passionately by proponents of many calibers. Because of the emotion involved this is an argument that is impossible to settle. In an attempt to remain neutral and allow you to make an informed choice, let’s first consider the purpose of our defensive firearm.
The purpose of our Defensive Firearm is simple. STOP The Threat. That is it, nothing else. So how does a Firearm stop the threat? Well there are several, let’s look at them.
  1. The simple sight of our firearm may cause an attacker to desist.
  2. Simply being shot even if a minor wound from a small caliber firearm can cause a shock reaction which may cause an attacker to desist.
  3. Skeletal Damage. Breaking bones especially pelvic, spinal or thigh bones can render an attacker immobile and allow us to escape.
  4. Vascular Damage. Loss of 50% or more of the blood supply is usually fatal. However it takes time to bleed out and even a heart shot may not stop an attacker for several seconds.
  5. Pulmonary System. Hits to the Lungs, Trachea or Diaphragm reducing the ability of an attacker to breath. While these can prove fatal they may take several minutes to disable an attacker.
  6. Central Nervous System. Hits to the Brain or Brainstem are almost always instantly disabling if not fatal, while hits to the spine cause various degrees of disability.
Obviously the Central Nervous System is our best stopping shot and almost any caliber can cause instant incapacitation if placed correctly. Unfortunately the head is a difficult target to hit due to its small size, the thickness and curvature of the skull and the fact that it is almost always in motion. Your target zone is about a 4’ X 2’ letter box. Also the Brainstem and Spine are all well protected on the back side of our target and only about 1” wide. It is important to remember that you are responsible for all the rounds you fire and a miss on a head shot is going somewhere.
Our best chance of hitting our target lies in having a bigger target that offers us a good probability of stopping the threat. Torso shots offer us an excellent chance of Vascular, Pulmonary damage with a small chance of a Central Nervous System (spinal) Damage and a good chance of inducing Shock. However multiple shots may well be required to stop our threat.
Bearing in mind that we will only be 50% as good in a Defensive Encounter than we were in training. The center mass shot with multiple quick follow up shots makes sense. Remember we shoot till the threat stops. We should be practicing placing multiple shots on target.
So what does our bullet need to do to stop the threat?
  1. Penetrate Clothing, Skin, Fat and Muscle to reach the Vital Organs.
  2. Have sufficient Energy to expand and create maximum damage.
  3. Stop inside the target using all its energy and not pass through and do unintended damage.
As we cannot accurately predict the size of our assailant, they may be 100lb dripping wet or a 350lb NFL linebacker we should assume we need at least 6” of penetration and a maximum of 17” of penetration. We also need sufficient energy to ensure bullet expansion to create maximum damage.
There are numerous websites with penetration tests and ballistic gel tests that are easily found online so I will not go into the factual numbers for all the different bullet weights and powder loads. Suffice to say that for a center mass shot the calibers that meet the above requirements for penetration and energy for expansion are between .38 and .357 mag for pistols.
Yes, I hear you say you left out the 10mm and it is an effective round however Federal agencies dropped it because of over penetration. Yes I hear that I did not include hydrostatic shock. Hydrostatic shock is a minimal effect with pistol rounds as it does not really come into play till rounds are traveling at supersonic speeds. I will not gross people out with actual photos but the difference between the damage caused by a high velocity pistol round and a high velocity rifle round is like the difference between a hand grenade and a 1000lb bomb.
So what do I use? Well I use a 9mm because I can accurately place rounds center mass quickly. I shoot 45 well on the range but I am more accurate and faster with a 9mm. At the end of the day it comes down to what you can accurately and quickly place multiple rounds on target. Only Hits Count in a Defensive Encounter.

Hey Buddy, Can You Spare a Mag?

Spare Me
There are some very good reasons for carrying an extra magazine and the team at is ready to weigh in on the pros and cons.
The difference between living and dying being at the very top of the list.
That said, let’s break it down, shall we?

First of all, if you’re forced to deploy your concealed carry in a self-defensive situation, there’s a better than average chance you’ll need more ammunition than just what you loaded in your pistol.
Obviously, when it comes to revolvers, this is a no-brainer.  But even if you have a 17-round semi-auto, you can still come up short on bullets, which could potentially make the difference between breathing or the other thing.

Unless you’re used to being in gunfights, the likelihood of hitting something with a single shot is not very good.  You can train all you want on a firing range, but paper targets don’t shoot back.
So when you’re up against an assailant or assailants (plural) who are ALSO armed, you will most definitely need all the help you can get to fend them off.

Another reason to strap on a spare mag is the probability of jamming or some other unfortunate malfunction.

No matter how dependable you think your weapon is, the chances of it malfunctioning are high.
It’s not a matter of IF, it’s a matter of WHEN.

Extra rounds make you less vulnerable should this occur. Plus, with some guns, the only way to clear a jam is with a spare mag. On the range, a malfunction is just a annoyance.  In real life, it could be lethal.

You know those irritating parents who hover non-stop over their kids? Who child-proof anything and everything? Who cause undo anxiety due to their own neurotic fears of the unknown? You know the type. And I suppose we could all just bubble-wrap ourselves when we’re puttering around the house or wear head-to-toe body armor when we go out.  But will that really make us safer or just stress us the hell out???
So yeah, let’s just face the facts and be done with it.
Extra rounds means extra inconvenience. Check.
Spare mags are difficult to conceal.  Check.
They can be uncomfortable.  Check.
But when you’re being shot at, I promise you, all these little inconveniences will soon be forgotten, because what it comes down to is whether the inconvenience is worth your life.
Something tells me, the inconvenience factor just can’t stack up to the “staying alive” factor.

IGNORE THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK: places where you CAN and CANNOT carry concealed

The team compiled a list of rules and regulations you should pay attention to if you carry concealed.

*Ignore at your own risk!

There’s a boatload of new laws going into effect each and every day of the week with ramifications that could make a big difference in your life.

Laws are constantly in flux, so it’s best to stay current, especially if you tend to move around much… as in, crossing state lines on a regular basis.

You probably have a pretty good idea of where you can and cannot carry in your home state, but you might want to update your knowledge on those states in-between.

Gun Free Zones

Some areas where you can’t carry are pretty common sense.

Schools fall comfortably into this category.

That said, campus carry is becoming a big issue on a lot of colleges across the country. Stay tuned.
Federal buildings and spaces are also mandated gun free…

… places like this…
but as long as you stow your gun safely in your checked bag, that’s cool.

State-to-State Concealed Carry Laws

This is going to sound like I’m stating the obvious here but it bears repeating anyway…

Every state has it’s own set of laws. All states (in this regard, at least) are not created equal!

Know the difference or prepare to pay the penalty.

And when in doubt, Google it!
Read the fine print. Make sure the info you’re gleaning is current and accurate.

State Police
State police issue permits in some states, others, no.

Apprise yourself of where this applies.

Peruse your local State Police website for all rules and regulations pertaining to your CCW permit.

County Sheriff
Some states issue CCW permits via the sheriff’s agency.  While state laws obviously apply, there will most likely be additional counties and municipalities with supplemental rules and regulations.

And what did we learn, class?
Know the laws of the states that you regularly enter and/or pass through.

Ignorance is not a defense!

The team at must stress the basic truth that all CCW holders should abide by…

Here it is… if you consider yourself a responsible gun owner, then research is a must!

Heroic Concealed Carrier Shoots Suspect, Saves Deputy’s Life

This amazing story of a Concealed Carry Hero of America who was forced to make a split-second decision to take matters into his own hands, caught our attention at
concealed online reviews

A concealed carrier in Estero (FL) answered a deputy’s cry for help and drew his weapon on the suspect beating the officer. When the suspect refused to stop his attack after several warnings from the concealed carrier, the concealed carrier opened fire and shot the suspect off the deputy, thus saving the life of the deputy.

Deputy First Class Dean Bardes, a 12-year-veteran, was working an accident at mile marker 126 when the suspect came upon him, causing Bardes to pursue him, according to multiple sources. Bardes and the suspect exited their vehicles at the Corkscrew Road exit and a fight started, sources said.

The passerby, who had a Concealed Weapons License, exited his vehicle and instructed the suspect to stop beating the deputy. But after the suspect ignored the command, the passerby had not choice and shot the suspect three times. The suspect later died.

The video account (below) suggests that the deputy was lying on his back with the suspect on top of him, injured and taking a pretty bad beating when the concealed carrier came to his rescue.

After the concealed carrier told the suspect to cease his attack multiple times, the concealed carrier felt that the deputy’s life was at risk, took an angle that got the deputy out of the line of fire as much as possible.

The concealed carrier proceeded to fire three shots, killing the suspect but saving the life of Deputy Bardes.

The team at have only one thing to say to this Concealed Carry Hero of America…

Some States are letting Locals Carry Concealed Without a Permit

At we believe in your right to carry concealed, but we also believe getting a proper permit to do so is an important step in gun safety and keeping HANDguns in the HANDS of the right folks.
Concealed Online Reputation

Which is why we took notice when New Hampshire passed a law allowing residents to carry concealed without a permit, joining a growing number of states allowing residents to carry hidden weapons without a license.

According to the NRA, almost half a dozen states have passed laws authorizing it and 16 others have introduced legislation to follow suit, including Kentucky, Texas, Colorado and Indiana.

But some – including members of law enforcement, politicians and even gun rights advocates – say the bill goes too far.

Jennifer Baker, a spokeswoman for the NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action, disagrees, saying: “That’s kind of the next step in expanding law-abiding gun owners’ constitutional right to self-protection.”

Nationwide, the legislation has been controversial, even failing to catch on in states that are traditionally safe havens of gun rights.

Dubbed “permitless carry” or “constitutional carry,” the legislation is based on a belief that people have a constitutional right to carry a gun with as few restrictions as possible. Idaho, Mississippi and West Virginia passed laws last year that make concealed-carry permits unnecessary, allowing people to carry weapons without them.

In New Hampshire, Gov. Chris Sununu signed a law allowing anyone who has purchased a licensed pistol or revolver to carry it, loaded or unloaded, on him or herself or in a vehicle.

Needless to say, the voices for and against allowing permitless concealed carry have been loud and persistent.

“We have historically allowed people to openly carry a pistol. I don’t see why you have to get a second permit if you’re a law-abiding citizen and legally entitled to own a gun,” Jeb Bradley, the majority leader of the state Senate, said in an interview. Bradley and Sununu also said the law puts New Hampshire on equal footing with neighboring Vermont and Maine, which also do not require permits for the concealed carry of handguns.

The new law went into effect immediately.

Previously, gun owners had to apply for a concealed-carry permit with the local police chief. Bradley said that people were unfairly denied permits, but police chiefs testified that few applications were turned down.

“This bill will eliminate the state’s long-standing permitting system and prevent local law enforcement from making important determinations that help keep guns out of dangerous hands,” Portsmouth Police Commissioner Joseph Plaia said in a statement. And Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, said the passage of such laws are an “anomaly” and occur in “legislatures that have been doing the NRA’s bidding.”

Montana Gov. Steve Bullock vetoed a bill allowing for the carrying of concealed guns without a permit on Thursday. Bullock said in a veto letter that the state’s sheriffs may require safety training before granting a concealed-carry permit and can deny permits to people struggling with mental illness. He equated the bill to allowing people to drive cars, fly planes or erect buildings without determining if they are eligible and able to do so.

“While I will fiercely defend the 2nd Amendment rights of our citizens, I cannot support an absurd concept that threatens the safety of our communities by not providing for the basic fundamentals of gun safety or mental health screening,” Bullock wrote.

South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard, a lifetime member of the NRA, has vowed to veto a bill that would establish permitless carry or “bad legislation” that could have many unintended consequences. South Dakota does not require a permit to purchase a gun and a concealed-carry permit costs just $10 and requires a background check.

In Missouri, lawmakers last year overrode Gov. Jay Nixon’s veto and passed gun legislation that established a “stand your ground” law and allowed people to carry concealed handguns without a permit. Concealed-carry permits were no longer necessary in the state starting Jan. 1.

The legislation sparked an outcry, with many concerned that it could put residents at risk and some public safety officials, including St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay, and the city’s police chief, Sam Dotson, said it would make neighborhoods less safe and make it more difficult for police to do their jobs.

Heck — here at we’re all about protecting your multi-state right to carry concealed, but when the chief of police at various local municipalities start to voice concerns, we listen!

Concealed Online Reviews - 3 Gun Oils and Lubes That Will Keep Your Weapon Working Right

Concealed Online Reviews
The team at is ready to weigh-in on the best gun oils available on the market today.

Remember these 5 words:

If your gun oil is falling down on the job in any of these categories, chuck it!

Okay, stating the obvious here but it bears repeating…

Gun oil is a basic necessity for keeping your hand cannon clean and working in tip-top condition. If you don’t regularly clean and oil it properly, you’re risking excessive wear and tear.

Untreated gun parts grind against each other (not in a good way) and get worn out due to friction (again, not in a good way). Also, if you store your gun for long lengths of time, it’s imperative to properly clean it, oil it, and then store it in a safe and dry place.

A well-oiled gun will function as expected every time you pull the trigger!

If a gun has debris in the barrel or other parts, it may misfire or jam.

And that could cost you or a loved one their life!

Do your firearm a favor — get the right gun oil and and use it whenever you clean your gun.

Here’s 3 gun oils we highly recommend:

Gunsmokelabs Lubricating Gun Oil

Our top pick! This oil has been refined to perfection. When you need to oil the hard-to-reach areas of your gun, go with Gunsmokelabs. This multi-purpose lubricant is perfect for all metal surfaces and other precision metal parts. High-grade anti-rust contents keep your gun protected from rusting during extended periods of storage.
Cocealed Online Reviews

This stuff is so scientifically formulated it prevents jamming, overheating and rusting as you wipe away surface and barrel carbon deposits. You’ll get the highest performance and protection from this super-duty product! Plus it doesn’t get sticky and once applied, ensures your gun has smooth movement every time you pull the trigger!

More reasons why we really, really dig it:

   It’s made in the U.S.A.
   It’s biodegradable, non-toxic & odorless
   It’s environmentally-friendly formulated
There’s no fly-off for fully automatic weapons
It retains lubricity over extended periods of exposure
It reduces friction, eliminates residue and rust, neutralizes dust and dirt
It penetrates deep down to the dirt you can’t even see with your naked eye
Okay, here’s a couple more we think are amazing…

Lube Hoppe’s No. 9

Just a small amount of Hoppe’s No. 9, applied using the precision applicator, can reach the unseen areas of your gun and keep them free from rust and corrosion. This lube is highly viscous, ideal for weapons that are going to be used in adverse weather conditions of extreme heat or cold.

Hoppe’s No. 9 will not gum or evaporate when exposed to the elements, which is the most useful feature of this oil. Most oils evaporate soon after application and this can attract dust and residue on the areas where the oil was applied. But with Hoppe’s, you don’t need to worry about that.

 M-Pro 7 Gun Oil LPX

M-Pro 7 Gun Oil is a heavy duty gun oil that will prevent your guns from rust, corrosion, excessive heat, dust, dirt, moisture, and salt water. Only a few drops are needed to make the action of your gun super smooth.

This is a silicon-free gun oil, and just a little oil is enough for most parts of the gun. You can also dab a drop or two and then apply it all over the surface and it will act as a protective barrier against moisture and rust.

This gun oil is slightly green, which lends a smooth finish to the gun’s surface. Kinda’ nifty, huh?

But without the use of his wounded arm, the trooper was soon overpowered and found himself on the ground with the suspect pummeling him mercilessly!

It was at that moment that divine intervention arrived in the form of an average, American motorist!

As the suspect was beating the trooper’s head into the pavement, a passer-by who just happened to be driving with his family en route to California, saw what was happening.

Slamming on his brakes, the soon-to-be-heroic citizen leapt from his vehicle,  drawing his gun. He leveled his concealed carry on the suspect, ordering the man to surrender.

When the suspect ignored him and continued to beat the trooper, the hero was left with no choice:

He shot the suspect! Dead!

Another civilian quickly joined the fray, getting on the trooper’s radio and calling for help.

In the aftermath, it was determined that the suspect turned out to be the driver of the rolled over vehicle. A female passenger from the same vehicle was transported to the hospital where she would eventually succumb to her injuries.

But the good news is: the trooper is alive today only because of an armed hero who stopped to help!

Of course the mystery remains and may never be known:

— what exactly led up to the collision and, more importantly, why did the suspect ambush the trooper?

Nobody really knows…

… but what we DO know is that, on behalf of law enforcement everywhere,  is grateful to this CONCEALED CARRY HERO OF AMERICA!

Without a doubt, he saved the life of the valiant trooper! Our thoughts and prayers go out to him to make a full and rapid recovery.

You never know when a concealed carrier may save a life. The team at honors another great example of quick-thinking and bravery from one of our American citizenry!
